Experience the Perfect Day at CocoCay! Relax in overwater cabanas, snorkel near a sunken plane, ride North America’s tallest waterslide & soar 450 feet in a helium balloon.
CocoCay is a private island owned by Royal Caribbean International. It’s a beautiful and secluded island in the Bahamas, emphasizing water sports and beach time. It boasts a major water park filled with everything from wave pools to a waterslide. In addition, it has a zip line, a hot air balloon ride, and beautiful cabanas of all shapes and sizes.
A stop at CocoCay is nis included in many Royal Caribbean’s three, four- and seven night cruise itineraries. There are endless things to try and tricks and hacks for spending a perfect day at CocoCay. So read on for some tips for spending a perfect day at CocoCay.
Tips for spending a perfect day at CocoCay begins with preparing smartly for your fun-filled day. You need to pack your day bag with essentials like sunscreen, an extra pair of clothes, medications if you need or take any and don’t forget your sunglasses. After a quick morning shower and breakfast, put on your swimsuit and get ready to enjoy this tropical paradise.
Groove your way ashore to the island beats of CocoCay's live junkanoo band and head straight for the tram station outside Thrill Waterpark. This helium balloon lifts passengers 450 feet in the air for the greatest views in the Bahamas. Another one of the tips for spending perfect day at CocoCay is that every 15 minutes, the island shuttle runs back and forth, therefore you just need to be there and wait patiently for a few moments and you will reach your destination in a jiffy.
What to expect at Royal Caribbean's perfect day at CocoCay is relaxation! Get a daybed at Chill Island for a few hours of sun, sand, and snorkeling. The underwater plane wreck, which is only 150 feet from the beach, offers the best snorkeling on the island, with rays, squid, and millions of fish generating a frenzy of marine life around the metal remnants. You can also rent a jet ski from Chill Island's rental shop or visit the Straw market to peruse some of the island's locally manufactured Bahamian crafts.
Another one of the tips for spending perfect day at CocoCay is to visit the 1,600-foot zip line with the only water landing in the Caribbean! Zigzag around the island, 50 feet above everything you've just seen and plunge into the pristine waves.
Coco Beach Club has arrived in Tahiti! Spend the day at this CocoCay resort in your own overwater cabana with your sweetheart or closest pals. You can choose for full-on pleasure by lying in the cabana's hammock and eating fresh, Mediterranean-inspired entrées from a private attendant. If you need to cool down a, a private slide plunging directly into the cold blue water is just a few steps from your cabana.
South Beach, located next door to Coco Beach Club, provides a wide range of activities both on and off the beach. On the sea, there's paddle boarding, jet skiing, and glass-bottom kayaking, or on land, there's volleyball, basketball, soccer, and fitness courses. If that isn't enough, you can take a spin on an inflatable zorb ball!
There are also many other tempting (and cost-effective) options at CocoCay's South Beach, with complimentary beach chairs, umbrellas, and immaculate white sand to enjoy.
If all of this adventure has made you hungry, you can easily enjoy a great barbeque meal at one of the many grill restaurants sprinkled along the seaside. These great eateries provide you some much-needed shade and a wonderful BBQ meal after a day full of fun and activities.
Some experiences come with a fee:
It provides many of the fun and spectacular things the island has to offer, and yet, there are excursions you can book that will take you off-island or at least into the water. The island has a couple of very nice options if you're into water sports, but I'd save my excursion budget for another island because the pools and beaches are so much fun (or the water park).
This includes:
CocoCay will provide you with an experience unlike any other. Cruise to CocoCay and sand ride North America's tallest waterslide while taking photos from up to 450 feet in a helium balloon. Grab a drink at the swim-up bar and enjoy the scene in the Bahamas' largest freshwater pool or, for a taste of Bora Bora, rent an overwater cabana. Discover the enchantment of a perfect day at CocoCay.

For instance, beach beds and overwater cabanas are available for guests seeking a private space. It's really up to you, the type of exclusive request you may want and its location.
Prices vary according to the cruise line and cabana location. Therefore, there are no prices given to people on the Royal Caribbean website- only priced for cabanas and daybeds.
Breezy Bay, Chill Island, and South Beach are venues that Royal Caribbean offer beach beds for rent. The double bed sits on a wooden platform with an open roof and sides, with curtains to provide privacy. Included in your rental are two lounge chairs with umbrellas, two floating mats, a cooler with four complimentary bottles of water, and towels.
There are four people who can comfortably occupy one bed. So cost is per bed and not per person. On the other hand, you may opt for a cabana on Perfect Day, an experience that could be more substantial.
There's lots more to do in this tropical paradise, with activities for both families and thrill-seekers. We hope this guide was useful in organizing your own private island adventure.
