The package offered by Carnival Cruise Line offers access to various social media websites and apps, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Snapchat and TikTok. It also allows access to some airline websites. However, access to any other apps and websites is blocked. Available at $15 per day, it costs $105 for a 7-day cruise or $89.25 if you pre-book the package.
Availing the Value package for Wi-Fi on Carnival Cruise lets you enjoy unlimited access to most websites, allowing you to send e-mails, watch the news, catch up on your favorite sports, or make use of online banking services. However, bandwidth-intensive services like Zoom or Skype or streaming apps like Netflix are excluded from this package. Available at $20 per day, it costs $140 for a 7-day cruise or $119 if you pre-book the package.
This high-range Wi-Fi package is designed to provide guests with speeds of up to 3 times as compared to the Value package. It offers access to all websites, including video calling services like Teams, Zoom, and Skype, as well as streaming apps like Netflix and Amazon Prime. Available at $22 per day, it costs $154 for a 7-day cruise or $130.90 if you pre-book the package.
Whichever Wi-Fi package you opt for, there will be certain apps or websites with restricted access. For example, all gambling apps and websites are usually blocked as it can be tough to keep track of all the international laws and regulations banning gambling. Moreover, the cruise line restricts access to all adult websites to prevent young guests from accessing content that is inappropriate for their age.

There are two ways of buying a Wi-Fi package on a Carnival cruise:
The easiest and most cost-effective way to book a Wi-Fi package on a Carnival cruise is to do it before your cruise begins. This can earn you a discount of 15%. All you need to do is visit the cruise line’s website, click on the ‘Manage’ tab, and go to the ‘My Booking’ option. There, you’ll find the option to buy a Wi-Fi package. You can avail of this facility until midnight Eastern time on the day before departure.
In case you don’t pre-book a Wi-Fi plan, you can always buy one during your cruise. To do this, just switch on your phone’s Wi-Fi and go to Wi-Fi settings. Once done, the instructions for buying a Wi-Fi package will appear on your screen.
It’s very easy to connect to Wi-Fi on Carnival Cruise. Just turn on Wi-Fi on your device, and you’ll likely find a network named either after your cruise ship or simply ‘Carnival Wi-Fi.’ Just click on the network, and you’ll be redirected to a web page, where you’ll be required to fill in your details to get connected. In case this doesn’t work, try visiting carnivalwifi.com, which will take you to the same web page. If it still doesn’t work, then contact guest services for assistance.

Getting access to Wi-Fi on Carnival Cruise can be a costly affair. Whether or not the expense is worth it depends on how much you need and use the internet service during the cruise. When the cruise ship is in a port, you’ll be able to access your phone’s internet connection anyway. The only times you’ll need your ship’s onboard Wi-Fi facility is when you are at the sea. So, if you use the cruise Wi-Fi extensively or need it for something urgent, then it’s worth it.
The internet speed on a Carnival cruise varies from ship to ship. Modern ships with a better network infrastructure are equipped to handle the internet demands of many passengers at once. The older ships, however, may not be as adept. The Wi-Fi speed on Carnival cruises usually varies between 1 Mbps and 10 Mbps, depending on the ship. The ships with Starlink installed offer particularly higher internet speeds.
