An agent-focused program for 2023 by Norwegian Cruise Line is aimed at helping agents grow their MICE business in the UK, according to a statement.
With Sixthman Festivals at Sea and Charters, Meetings, and Incentives (CM&I), the brand launched a new division, “Experiences at Sea.”
Additionally, NCL hired Sabrina Greca to lead the Experiences at Sea division in markets outside North America and increase sales in the MICE sector.
Whether a whole ship charter or a small group on an existing sailing, the value for money of a cruise is unmatched. Whether it’s health and wellness trips using the Mandara Spa or F&B conferences using our onboard bars and restaurants, the MICE opportunity in the UK still needs to be explored. “I’m excited to explore this potential in the UK and beyond with Greca and the team,” she said.
A series of ship visits to the UK and Ireland will also provide 1,500 travel agent partners with a chance to experience NCL’s services between May and October 2023. Onboard the cruise line’s fleet; these visits will occur on 22 dates and in nine locations, including Southampton, Liverpool, Newcastle, Newhaven, Tilbury, Belfast, Dun Laoghaire, and Cobh.
Various events will occur on the Norwegian Prima, Norwegian Getaway, Norwegian Dawn, Norwegian Star, and Norwegian Gem cruise ships.
Adding to the agent’s brand knowledge is the opportunity to get a first-hand experience of NCL’s product through ship visits, says Gary Anslow, Senior Sales Director UK and Ireland at NCL. “As we welcome all of our valued agents on board, we hope to have insightful discussions about the constantly evolving travel industry and share news about our existing fleet and upcoming ship launches.”
