Cruises to the Panama Canal from Alaska on Carnival Spirit ahead of summer

By Cruise Booking Team

Carnival Spirit will operate a 16-night Panama Canal cruise from Alaska to the Pacific Northwest during the summer.

The Carnival Cruise Line vessel left Miami on April 16 after completing its winter schedule in the Caribbean.

On the one-way journey from Colombia to Seattle, you’ll visit ports in three different countries: Costa Rica, Mexico, and Colombia.

Before arriving in Washington, the Carnival Spirit will transit the Panama Canal and visit Cartagena de Indias, Santa Marta, Puntarenas, and Cabo San Lucas.

Alaskan summer programs will then begin on the 2001-built ship.

With the Spirit’s May 2 departure, a series of seven-night cruises to the Last Frontier will also include a trip to Canada.

In addition to visiting Skagway, Ketchikan, and Juneau during the four-month program, the vessel will also see other popular destinations in the region.

In addition to cruising the Tracy Arm Fjord and visiting Victoria, the Carnival Spirit sails roundtrip from Seattle.

As part of Carnival’s 49-departure, three-ship summer season in Alaska, the Carnival Luminosa and Carnival Miracle will also sail.

After its Alaskan voyages are complete in September, Carnival Spirit will sail through the Panama Canal. In preparation for her debut in Mobile, the ship is on a 16-night repositioning voyage from Seattle to New Orleans.

As part of itineraries departing from the Alabama port during the winter of 2023-2024, the Spirit is set to offer a range of different itineraries.

In addition to sailing to Mexico, Honduras, and Belize, the cruises range from six to eight nights long. Bimini, Freeport, Nassau, and Princess Cays will be visited by the ship in the Bahamas.

With its initial entry into service in 2001, Carnival Spirit is the lead ship of Carnival’s Spirit Class. It was followed by the Carnival Pride, Carnival Legend, and Carnival Miracle, all with atriums with glass enclosures and cabins with private balconies.
