For the winter season of 2024-25, Celebrity Summit will cancel a number of sailings from San Juan. Puerto Rico’s homeporting season was originally scheduled for October 2024 to April 2025.
According to a statement sent to booked guests, the cancellations are part of a redeployment initiative, which will see the Summit return to the United States earlier. Providing award-winning vacation experiences is what we’re passionate about at Celebrity Cruises. “Our company is always looking for ways to enhance our already incredible offerings as we position our brand for continued success,” it said.
“We are pleased to announce Celebrity Summit will relocate to Fort Lauderdale in January 2025, in order to achieve this goal,” said Celebrity Cruises. Thus, all cruises onboard Celebrity Summit scheduled for January 29 to April 12 have been canceled.
Payments made toward the cancelled cruises will automatically be refunded to affected passengers 100 percent. Guests who book new cruises on Celebrity’s fleet will also be eligible for onboard credit, according to the company. The onboard credit for regular staterooms is $200, and the credit for retreat accommodations is $400.
The company expressed its sincere appreciation for your understanding since it never wishes to complicate your holiday planning. In the Southern and Eastern Caribbean, the Celebrity Summit would sail several seven- to ten-night cruises. The itinerary included visits to Barbados, Grenada, Curacao, Aruba, and St. Lucia, all departing from San Juan.
In addition to the redeployment, the ship is scheduled to offer five new cruises in Port Everglades, Florida, following the redeployment. Itineraries ranging from five to nine nights explore the Western and Eastern Caribbeans.
