There will be a delay in the introduction of Virgin Voyages‘ fourth ship, the Brilliant Lady.
A statement released by Brilliant Lady says that it has faced unexpected construction, supply chain, and staffing challenges.
Virgin Voyages wants to ensure its Sailors receive the quality they’ve come to expect when the ship launches.
The company said that it will determine the ship’s launch date soon, which was originally scheduled for later this year.
After a new date is announced, guests who had their bookings canceled will receive generous offers, exclusive rebooking perks, and on-board credits.
Despite our brand’s success, even the strongest businesses face unforeseen hurdles every now and then, said Michelle Bentubo, Senior Vice President of Service Excellence and Travel Operations.
Sailors and First Mates on Brilliant Lady will have to wait a little longer for her launch, but we know they will love the new itineraries. We are thrilled to welcome them aboard.”
It is Virgin Voyages’ commitment to serving its Sailors and travel advisors that ensures that those affected by the new itineraries have price- and promotion-protected options for rebooking and receiving $300 – $600 USD in Sailor Loot or a refund. Med 2024 voyages and up to a $600 Bar Tab are available for 30% off for travelers who book by Sept. 28, along with $500 off select Caribbean sailings and repositioning voyages.
