Azamara Fleet Comes Together in Koper

On October 5, Azamara brought its four ships back together in Koper, Slovenia.

Koper’s first-ever Gourmet Festival was held to celebrate Azamara guests’ arrival and showcase the city’s culinary experiences.

Azamara’s Head of Itinerary Planning, Mike Pawlus, said, “It is such a rare opportunity to bring together all the ships once again for a specially designed event where guests can taste local gastronomy and meet new people from this wonderful country.”

We honored Atlas Express as an AzAmazing Partner in 2023 for the way they have brought the destination to life for our guests. Throughout this process, we are grateful to the Municipality of Koper, the Slovenian Tourism Board, the Port of Koper, and Visit Koper for their support.”

In addition to complimentary tickets, guests of the four ships – Azamara Journey, Azamara Quest, Azamara Pursuit, and Azamara Onward – also enjoyed the local cuisine, wine, and entertainment offered by the Gourmet Festival.

During the ceremony, Mateja Hrvatin Kozlovic, the Vice Mayor of Koper, presented a plaque to the four captains to mark this milestone and celebrate the collaboration between Azamara and the local authorities.

For guests onboard Azamara Journey and Azamara Pursuit, Extended Destination Days gave them the chance to discover the destination’s undiscovered haunts and hotspots late at night, while for guests onboard Azamara Quest, an AzAmazing Evening was organized in Tito Square following the event.
