Norwegian Cruise Line has reclassified spa category cabins on its ships, as per a statement sent to guests with existing bookings. The cruise line is committed to improving the guest experience and has made changes to enhance accessibility to NCL’s Mandara Spa and Salon Thermal Suite.
As part of these efforts, Norwegian Cruise Line has reclassified the Haven by Norwegian Spa Suites, Spa Club Balcony, and Spa Balcony Staterooms into traditional suites, club balconies, and balcony staterooms. This adjustment is aimed at better accommodating demand for the Thermal Suite, allowing passengers across all cabin categories to utilize it.
Effective for sailings after January 1, 2024, the Spa Staterooms will also be reclassified. Reservations for impacted cabins made prior to October 2, 2023, will be updated to reflect this change. Passengers who booked before this date will still have access to the Thermal Suite.
Additionally, Norwegian Cruise Line is introducing over 1,000 new solo cabins across its 19 ships. Bookings for these solo cabins are now open for sailings starting on January 2, 2024. Solo travelers can choose from three category options: Solo Inside, Solo Oceanview, and Solo Balcony.
The company assures that solo travelers can expect pricing that is less than double occupancy rooms, depending on destination and demand. On select ships, solo stateroom occupants will have exclusive access to the Studio Lounge, accessible only with a key card. This lounge offers a dedicated relaxation area, a bar serving beer and wine, and a selection of snacks available throughout the day.
