Oceania Insignia Embarks on 180-Days ‘Around the World Cruise 2024’

By Cruise Booking Team

Today, Oceania Cruises’ Insignia embarks on its 2024 Around the World Cruise, setting sail from San Francisco. This ambitious 180-day journey will take guests on a comprehensive global tour.

After departing from California, Insignia heads towards the Hawaiian Islands, French Polynesia, and the Samoan Islands, eventually reaching New Zealand and Australia. The ship’s route then encompasses various Asian ports, including Bali, Tokyo, Kyoto, and Yangon. The voyage continues through the Suez Canal to Europe, with stops in India, the Arabian Peninsula, and the Red Sea.

The extensive cruise includes visits to the Mediterranean, the Adriatic, Northern Europe, the Atlantic, and the Eastern Seaboard of the United States. The Insignia is scheduled to conclude its half-year global exploration in New York City on July 12, 2024.

Oceania highlights that this journey features visits to 100 UNESCO World Heritage sites across 96 destinations, with 24 overnight stays. Key cities where the ship will have extended visits include Auckland, Shanghai, Singapore, Phuket, Mumbai, Dubai, Barcelona, Seville, Bordeaux, and Reykjavik.

Priced from $48,499 per person, the 2024 Around the World Cruise quickly sold out within just 30 minutes of going on sale in March 2022, setting a new single-day booking record for Oceania Cruises. Notably, almost half of the bookings for this voyage came from first-time guests new to the brand, while 42 percent of passengers from the 2022 World Cruise rebooked for the 2024 journey.

Furthermore, 18 percent of guests on the 2024 World Cruise have chosen to extend their time onboard to a total of 196 days. The Insignia, originally built for Renaissance Cruises, first entered service in 1999 and accommodates 684 guests at double occupancy.
