Royal Caribbean International’s Utopia of the Seas is preparing for its debut after setting sail today from Chantiers for a five-day series of sea trials.
Scheduled to launch from Port Canaveral, Florida, in July 2024, over 900 experts specializing in naval architecture, engineering, navigation, and design are aboard, rigorously testing the ship’s capabilities.
They are conducting comprehensive assessments and inspections, including how the ship navigates open waters, the efficiency of its navigation systems, engine performance, and various technical checks.
Throughout this trial period, the ship will cover more than 1,000 miles over five days to ensure it is fully ready for smooth sailing.
