Disney Cruise Line announced that its upcoming ship, the Disney Treasure, will feature several new dining and entertainment concepts when it begins service in late 2024. These new offerings will combine fresh experiences with returning favorites, including an adult lounge themed to “The Aristocats,” a “Coco”-inspired menu, and a “Guardians of the Galaxy” dinner event.
The new Scat Cat Lounge will bring the eclectic elegance of an old-school jazz club to life, inspired by “The Aristocats” film. The lounge will feature live performances of “Ev’erybody Wants to Be a Cat” and will be decorated with hanging lanterns and a paw print-adorned baby grand piano, evoking the sophistication of the character Scat Cat. Located adjacent to the Grand Hall, the lounge will share design elements with Agrabah-inspired architecture and offer a menu of craft cocktails.
The Disney Treasure will also bring back Disney Cruise Line’s Marvel-themed dining experience, Worlds of Marvel. This venue will feature two distinct nights, including a new offering showcasing Rocket and Groot from “Guardians of the Galaxy.” The “Marvel Celebration of Heroes: Groot Remix” will celebrate Marvel superheroes with a mix of hit songs and family-friendly activities.
Guests will also enjoy “Avengers: Quantum Encounter,” a dining adventure following Ant-Man and The Wasp as they protect Quantum Core technology.
At Plaza de Coco, guests will be transported to the picturesque town from Pixar’s “Coco,” with a menu inspired by the Rivera family’s traditional recipes. The restaurant will offer two evening programs featuring theatrical entertainment and dishes like Abuelita Elena Shrimp Diabla and Chorizo Street Croquettes.
Inspired by Disney Animation’s “Zootopia,” Jumbeaux’s Sweets will offer a selection of over 35 flavors of handmade gelato, ice cream, plant-based frozen desserts, and sorbets. Desserts will include the Judy Hopps Carrot Cupcake and the Mango Leopard Cakesicle, among other themed treats.
The Disney Treasure’s maiden voyage, a seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise from Port Canaveral, is scheduled for December 21, 2024. The ship, a sister to the 2022-built Disney Wish, will spend its inaugural season offering seven-night itineraries to the Eastern and Western Caribbean from Port Canaveral.
