After canceling 38 voyages on three ships, Norwegian Cruise Line told clients booked on the Norwegian Jade that several sailings on the vessel would no longer take place.
In a statement, the business stated that all sailings scheduled to depart between October 18, 2025, and February 16, 2026, have been cancelled.
The 2,400-passenger ship was scheduled to operate six- to 14-night voyages to the Panama Canal and the Caribbean during that time.
Norwegian stated that the cancellations are the result of a fleet repositioning, with the Norwegian Jade conducting cruises from Southern California.
“The Norwegian Jade will be redeployed and will soon be offering seven-day round trip sailings from San Diego to the Mexican Riviera where guests can explore a blend of stunning coastal landscapes, rich cultural experiences, and unforgettable culinary delights,” according to the firm.
According to the announcement, the ship’s new schedule on the West Coast will be available for booking shortly.
A complete monetary refund of the fare paid for the canceled cruise will be automatically returned to the original mode of payment provided at the time of reservation, Norwegian stated.
Reservations paid with a previously issued Future Cruise Credit (FCC) will have the credit returned to the traveler.
Affected travelers will additionally get a 10% discount in the form of an FCC. The credit can be applied to any of Norwegian’s published sailings through December 31, 2026.
“We sincerely apologize for any disappointment or inconvenience this cancelation may cause,” the Norwegians added.
Earlier this week, Norwegian Cruise Line also canceled the winter schedules for the Norwegian Dawn, Norwegian Star, and Norwegian Jewel.
While the Norwegian Dawn was intended to offer itineraries in Africa and the Indian Ocean, the Norwegian Star was set for a season in South America and Antarctica. The Norwegian Jewel was set to embark from Tampa for the Caribbean.
