Carnival Cruise Line announced on March 28 that Carnival Venezia was officially registered with the Bahamas Maritime Authority (BMA).
Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line, welcomed Carnival Venezia into the company’s Bahamas fleet. “We’re delighted to be celebrating another maritime milestone,” said Duffy. We value the BMA’s cooperation and professionalism in achieving the highest standards of safety in international shipping.
The registration process was completed in Cadiz, Spain, where Carnival Venezia’s senior leadership team and the classification society raised the Bahamian flag to announce the new registry.
Carnival Journeys departs from Barcelona on May 29, 2023, and will spend 15 days in drydock in Cadiz. Beginning June 15, 2023, Carnival Venezia will operate year-round cruises from Manhattan Cruise Terminal. Ten different cruise durations are offered as well as 22 unique itineraries, which include visits to 25 ports in 14 countries.
The Carnival Venezia was built in 2019, showcasing Carnival’s signature characteristics coupled with Italian style. Five thousand one hundred forty-five guests and 1,393 crew members can be accommodated on board.
