The 150th anniversary poster design contest was won by Seattle resident Austin Thomas.
Members of the Holland America Line team chose the winner.
Holland America Line’s vice president of marketing and e-commerce, Kacy Cole, said, “Congratulations to Austin on creating a poster that captures both our past and our present perfectly.” Our fans know our history well, as they sent us so many amazing posters to celebrate our milestone birthday. Thank you all for participating.”
Participants entered the contest by creating a poster commemorating the 150th anniversary of the cruise line. Guests will travel on a balcony stateroom cruise for seven days in Alaska.
Social media channels will feature the winning poster. Holland America Line is celebrating its 150th anniversary in Rotterdam, and the winning poster will be displayed there on April 18 and 19.
Having been involved in international voyages for such a long time, it was amazing to see how Holland America Line impacts families in so many different ways. A family moving to America in the 1800s might be excited to see a family of today capable of traveling the world for leisure. Also, vice versa. In 150 years, Holland America Line is still creating life-changing experiences for families,” Thomas said.
