A 14-night Greenland and Canada cruise is currently being offered on the Carnival Legend. On August 13, Carnival Cruise Line set sail on one of its longest cruises of the year from Baltimore.
In addition to visiting Nanortalik and Qaqortoq in Greenland, the itinerary includes a roundtrip cruise from Cruise Maryland Terminal.
Aside from the mild climate of the southernmost towns and unique experiences like learning about Inuit culture and visiting Viking ruins, Carnival describes the towns as being located in the southern region of the island.
The Carnival Legend will also sail to three destinations in Canada during its two-week cruise: Sydney, Corner Brooke, and St. Anthony.
It’s an unusual cruise destination in the Newfoundland region, Carnival said, and a great place to watch whales and wildlife.
During the itinerary, you will also cruise the North Atlantic for eight full days before returning to Baltimore.
There will be a repeat of the itinerary in early September and also in 2024, when the Carnival Pride will be on board. In May, August, and September, it will offer three 14-night trips to Greenland, replacing the Legend in Baltimore.
Originally launched in 2002, the Carnival Legend is part of Carnival’s Spirit Class. It underwent a major refurbishment in 2014, offering a variety of public areas and amenities.
As part of the multi-million-dollar renovation, the Green Thunder, one of the steepest and fastest waterslides at sea, the tropics-inspired RedFrog Pub, and a full-service sushi restaurant, Bonsai Sushi, were added.
In addition to its multi-deck atrium, the 88,500-ton ship has an enclosed glass pool deck, the adults-only Serenity Deck, the Alchemy Bar, the Punchliner Comedy Club, and several dining options.
