New destination Celebration Key has been announced by Carnival Cruise Line.
Late September will see the launch of new itineraries calling on Grand Bahama.
Its name reflects Carnival Cruise Line’s vision of the best Carnival and The Bahamas have to offer, and it is the first port destination exclusively designed for Carnival Cruise Line guests. Two million guests will be able to visit the destination every year once it is completed.
As Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy explained, “We are working closely with the Bahamas Government and the Grand Bahama Port Authority to ensure that we are showcasing Grand Bahama and its culture along with the kind of fun Carnival is known for.” “Invoking the natural beauty of Grand Bahama, Celebration Key will be a celebration of our guests’ own making with a variety of experiences for everyone.”
In addition to a one-mile stretch of white-sand beach, Carnival’s Celebration Key will offer retail and food and beverage options for guests. The Grand Bahama island is known for its beautiful beaches and friendly people.
As well, the adjacent cruise pier will be able to accommodate up to two Carnival Excel Class ships at once. The destination will be dedicated in May 2022, and construction will begin soon.
During September, Carnival will announce how to book itineraries that include a visit to Celebration Key. The first sailing to the destination is scheduled for July 2025.
