A competition series designed to increase sales and income for travel advisors is being launched by Carnival Cruise Line in partnership with travel advisors.
Throughout the eight-part series, SBA and SBDC Network representatives will provide business advice. The business development team of Carnival will also be speaking, along with representatives from the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), the American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA), and the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA). As part of Carnival’s Your Winning Plan competition, travel advisors can create and enter their business plans.
Carnival Cruise Line’s senior vice president of global sales and trade marketing Adolfo Perez said, “Your Winning Plan emphasizes the benefits of partnering with travel advisors.” With the help of real, first-time experts from the Small Business Administration and renowned entrepreneur Daymond John, this series will not only personify Carnival fun, but will also demonstrate the value Carnival brings to travel advisors as a partner.
During the final event in Houston, Daymond John, entrepreneur, author and star of ABC’s business show “Shark Tank,” will share his business expertise. Furthermore, he will award the grand prize to the winner of Your Winning Plan’s champion.
San Jose, California and Detroit, Michigan will host the events on June 23, followed by Las Vegas, Nevada on July 7. Nashville, Tennessee is scheduled for July 14, Denver, Colorado is scheduled for July 19, Richmond, Virginia is scheduled for July 28, a virtual event will take place on August 5, and Houston, Texas will host the final event on September 27. Any travel advisor in the United States, Canada or Puerto Rico can apply.
A panel of Carnival, CLIA, and ASTA experts will judge the competition to choose seven semifinalists, one from each event. Finalists will receive $2,500 and an all-expenses-paid trip to Houston to implement their winning business plans. You won’t want to miss the $5,000 grand prize in Your Winning Plan.
