Carnival Cruise Line’s fleet by 2023 will exceed its competitors’

By Cruise Booking Team

This year, Carnival Cruise Line’s fleet is set to expand dramatically, making it the fastest-growing fleet of the year, outpacing competitors Royal Caribbean, MSC Cruises, and Norwegian Cruise Line.

Costa Venezia will become Carnival Venezia. “Carnival Fun Italian Style” will celebrate Italian culture and cuisine with Carnival’s trademark hospitality and fun. The Carnival Jubilee will be the third Excel-class cruise ship in the fleet when it joins in December of this year.

There are very few new cruise ships being released this year by the competition, but Carnival Cruise Line is expanding its fleet with the acquisitions of Costa Venezia, which will become Carnival Venezia, and the launch of Carnival Jubilee.

By implementing this move, Carnival Cruise Line will become the fleet with the fastest growth of the year, expanding its diverse and exciting itineraries for guests.

Carnival Venezia will be homeported at New York’s Manhattan Terminal year-round. This cruise ship’s first US sailing departs on June 15, 2023. Before then, Carnival Venezia will sail a 15-day Transatlantic voyage from Barcelona, Spain to New York on May 29, 2023.

During a dry dock before the first sailing, Carnival Cruise Line will transform Carnival Venezia into the Carnival Fun Italian Style livery.

A Vista-class vessel, the cruise ship will offer 22 unique sailing itineraries from Manhattan Cruise Terminal in New York City, visiting ports in the Bahamas, Canada, New England, and the Caribbean.

Carnival’s director of new build product development, Glenn Aprile, said the general layout of the ship is similar to its Vista class ships.

The Carnival Venezia will offer a “Carnival Fun Italian Style” experience for a maximum of 4,232 guests, including popular Italian favorites and Fun Ship features.

A model of Venice’s Piazza San Marco is used in designing the ship’s Italian architecture. However, Carnival Venezia will also feature popular Carnival features from Fahrenheit 555 steakhouse to Pizzeria del Capitano to the Lido Marketplace.

The Carnival Venezia will join Carnival Cruise Line since it was to operate in China. After a three-year ban on cruise ships in China, Carnival Corporation decided to place the ship with Carnival Cruise Line, one of the most successful parts of the Miami-based company.
