A winged funnel design, one of the hallmarks of Carnival Cruise Line, will once again grace the Carnival Freedom.
Ship improvements include a replacement funnel, which is currently being constructed.
This will be the first time a Carnival funnel will be manufactured at the Navantia shipyard in Cadiz, Spain. Carnival Freedom entered drydock on Friday, October 6 for 16 days.
Apart from bringing back the funnel, the ship will undergo several other improvements, such as new decking and the Carnival red, white and blue hull design. Additionally, veterans and active-duty service members will be honored with a Heroes Tribute Bar.
After the shipyard’s work is completed, Carnival Freedom will reveal more information about its enhancements.
