The Carnival Legend embarked on a journey from Norfolk for a trans-Atlantic crossing in mid-April and has now reached Europe for its summer schedule.
During the 12-night voyage, the ship visited ports in Portugal and Spain before concluding its journey in Barcelona on April 27.
Before starting its summer activities, the ship sailed to Chantier Naval de Marseille in France for significant refurbishment work, including technical maintenance and updates to public areas and cabins.
While specific details of the refurbishment are still pending, potential additions may include new venues like the Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge, already featured on other Carnival ships.
Once the refurbishment is complete, the Carnival Legend will commence a five-month European program, offering voyages in Northern Europe and the Mediterranean.
The first voyage of the season is an eight-night cruise from Barcelona to Italy, France, Spain, and Malta, starting on May 30.
In June, the ship will move to Northern Europe for a series of cruises departing from Dover, England, with itineraries spanning the British Isles, Iceland, Scandinavia, and the North Sea.
Returning to the Mediterranean in late August, the Carnival Legend will offer nine- to 12-night cruises to various destinations before heading back to North America in early November.
Between September and October, the ship will sail a series of ten-night cruises to the Greek Isles, Italy, and Turkey.
Finally, the Carnival Legend will conclude its 2024-25 winter program in Tampa, Florida, after a trans-Atlantic crossing from Europe.
