Today, the Carnival Magic arrived in Miami to begin a Caribbean cruise.
A series of six- to eight-night itineraries will be offered by the 3,650-guest vessel from its new year-round homeport in South Florida.
This program’s first cruise will cover six days in the Eastern Caribbean, including visits to Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas, Grand Turk in Turks and Caicos, and Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic.
Also included in the program are cruises to the Western Caribbean, including six-night itineraries to Mexico and Belize and seven-night cruises to Mexico and Honduras.
From Miami, Carnival Magic will also offer eight-night cruises to the Southern Caribbean, including Aruba and Curaçao.
Aside from St. Thomas, the ship will call at Philipsburg, in St. Maarten, Nassau, in the Bahamas, and other ports.
Carnival Cruise Line now has five ships sailing from Miami on a year-round basis, including the Carnival Magic.
In Port Miami, Carnival’s fleet consists of the Carnival Celebration, the Carnival Horizon, the Carnival Conquest, and the Carnival Sunrise.
In addition to sailing to destinations such as Nassau, Princess Cays, George Town, La Romana, Puerto Rico and others, the vessels offer three- to eight-night cruises to the Bahamas and Caribbean.
Carnival Magic was built in 2011 as a sister ship to Carnival Dream, which entered service in 2009. There are several facilities and attractions on board the vessel, including a large casino, a multi-level theater, and many dining options.
Among the ship’s innovative features are SportsSquare, an outdoor sports complex, and The Lanai, one of the ship’s wraparound promenades with whirlpools.
