The Carnival Jubilee, the line’s latest ship, left Papenburg on Monday, October 30, traveling backwards along the Ems river until it reached the Dutch city of Eemshaven.
The Carnival Jubilee will begin sailing weeklong Caribbean cruises from Galveston after completing sea trials.
Taking place on Monday morning at approximately 9:30am local time, the Ems conveyance was set to depart Emden at approximately 3:15am and arrive in Eemshaven, Holland at approximately 5:30am.
Homeporting in Galveston, Texas, the Carnival Jubilee will set sail on its inaugural voyage on December 23, 2023. The ship will offer seven-long cruises from the port year-round, departing on a regular basis. Before returning to Galveston, the ship will make stops in Roatan, Honduras, Costa Maya and Cozumel in Mexico during the week-long maiden sailing.
