Costa Cruises Tourism Partnership with Brazilian Heaven Balneário Camboriú

By Cruise Booking Team

Costa Cruises celebrated its better establishment in Balneário Camboriú, Brazil with the ceremony onboard Costa Pacifica, marking yet another milestone for the cruise line in expanding operations across the Brazilian coastal city on January 28, 2025.

This celebration with a traditional plaque exchange ceremony united representatives of maritime and civic leadership. Costa Pacifica Captain Stefano Boccaccio hosted the event with Dario Rustico, Executive President for the Americas at Costa Cruises, and the company’s Institutional President in Brazil Renê Hermann. They were joined by other important dignitaries such as Balneário Camboriú’s Mayor Juliana Pavan and Vice Mayor Nilson Probst, along with several others from the government of the city.

The Costa cruise season 2024-25 hammers a huge quota for an area. Costa is deploying both Costa Pacifica and Costa Favolosa to make nearly 30 port calls for the period through March. Besides the number of such calls, which is itself highly indicative of the enhanced deployment, this schedule also substantiates the cruise line’s strategic vision for the destination as articulated by Dario Rustico: “Balneário Camboriú is not just a port of call anymore; it has become extremely strategic for our growth in Brazil.”

The newly fortified partnership promises mutual benefits; combining Costa’s world-class cruise experiences with the natural beauty and tourism structure of Balneário Camboriú, it is expected to boost the local economy significantly while allowing cruise travelers to experience one of Brazil’s most beautiful coastal destinations.

The ceremony included a full ship tour and an elegant lunch; it marks, therefore, the nature of the bond Costa Cruises will continue to forge with Balneário Camboriú, and keeps the spirit of hope rekindled for brighter tourism in the Southern Brazilian geography.
