According to a press release, Costa Fortuna crew members celebrated Earth Day by taking environmental action at the Port of Heraklion on April 23.
Costa Fortuna crews cleaned the coast of Dermata Bay, where a considerable amount of debris had accumulated, fully equipped and with a garbage transport car provided by the Heraklion Port Authority.
According to a statement from the port, this initiative encourages everyone to help protect the plane by getting involved.
Some officers in Costa Fortuna, including Costache Stefan, the environmental manager, and Foslui Florina, the human resources director, were thanked for this environmental gesture by Minas Papadakis, CEO of the port authority. The planet has hosted humanity for millions of years, and Earth Day is an opportunity to express appreciation and acquire new habits for the world.
