A special celebration was held earlier this week in New York to reveal the details of Cunard’s upcoming ship, the Queen Anne, which will debut six months from now.
Cipriani 25 Broadway, the former New York office of the brand, held an event unveiling contemporary art and an entertainment venue for the ship.
Cunard’s onboard insights program on Queen Mary 2’s December 8 crossing will feature a cabaret performance by Alan Cumming. The performance will be part of Cunard’s Onboard Insights program.
As part of the event, the Queen Anne’s contemporary art collection, which will boast the world’s largest curated collection of art at sea, was also displayed. The display was part of the 4,300-piece collection. Photographer Michael James O’Brien, Canadian artist Eric Louie, Brooklyn textile artist Shradha Kochhar, and London-based artist Tommy Camerno were among the artists.
“This evening is a full circle moment for Cunard, as we come together to celebrate its 183-year history in this magnificent, historic building.”, said Katie McAlister, chairwoman of Cunard. We are delighted to introduce our new ship, Queen Anne, which pays homage to her royal namesake, renowned for her dedication and innovative spirit, and will usher in a new era for Cunard by introducing new experiences for our guests, complementing our signature, timeless style.”
Its inaugural season will be in May 2024, sailing to the Canary Islands, British Isles, Norwegian Fjords, Western Mediterranean, and more.
