Discover Iceland and Greenland aboard Holland America’s unique 24-day cruise

A special 24-day voyage to Iceland and Greenland is included in Holland America Line’s new Canada & New England season for 2024.

Onboard the Volendam, this roundtrip cruise sails from Boston roundtrip and includes ten stops in Greenland, Maine, and Canada’s Nova Scotia, Labrador, and Newfoundland and Labrador.

Along with six Iceland ports of call on the itinerary, the ship will also call at Isafjord, Akureyri, Seydisfjordur, Djupivogur, Reykjavik, and Grundarfjordur.

Qaqortoq and Nanortalik are two destinations set to be visited in Greenland.

Red Bay, an unusual cruise port on the Labrador Peninsula, is another highlight of the cruise. There will be only three major cruise lines calling at the destination in 2024, along with the Volendam.

“Homeport initiative,” which allows guests to see the world from their doorstep, is Holland America Line’s explanation for the 24-day voyage to Iceland and Greenland.

Holland America Line will have two ships sailing the Canada & New England route a total of 29 times in 2024.

Between April and October, the Zuiderdam will also offer several departures in the region in addition to the Volendam.

Each of the ships’ different itineraries is designed to convey the region’s delicious seafood, maritime history, charm, and natural beauty.

As well as visits to Bar Harbor, Portland, Charlottetown, Sydney, Halifax, Saguenay, and other popular ports, the cruises travel between Boston, Quebec City, and Montreal.
