Guests will have the opportunity to explore destinations in the Mediterranean at a deeper level with Holland America Line’s “National Geographic Day Tours.”
Exclusive shore excursions will be offered this summer onboard the Oosterdam and Nieuw Statendam in partnership with National Geographic.
These ships offer guests an opportunity to explore powerful female figures in Kusadasi, Turkey; get a glimpse into the life of a marine biologist in Naples, Italy; or visit organic honeybee farms in Rhodes, Greece. National Geographic guides lead every tour.
National Geographic’s Summer 2023 Tours include:
– An Italian marine biologist’s day in Naples;
– A Santorini experience, “Meet the Locals”;
– Kusadasi, Turkey: “Influential Women in Turkey: From Past to Present”
– Greece’s “The Fascinating World of Bees”
“We are committed to providing enriching and transformative experiences for our guests, and the new National Geographic Day Tours provide exclusive access and hands-on experiences,” said Carole Biencourt, Holland America Line’s vice president of shore tours. The program is now available to guests on our Mediterranean itineraries that visit these ports, and we plan to expand it in the near future.”
