With a 124-night itinerary, Holland America Line’s The Zuiderdam has set sail from Port Everglades on Saturday as part of 2025 Grand World Voyage.
This Grand World Cruise is the brain-child of Holland America, with bucket-list destinations, including Machu Picchu, Easter Island and the Great Barrier Reef. The full itinerary also involves ports in 34 different countries.
For example, it features six overnight stays with extended visits to Tahiti, Sydney, Cape Town and Barcelona.
With the departure of the ship from Port Everglades, it will first head south for visits to staple destinations in the Caribbean. After that, it shall cross the Panama Canal, heading for South America and the South Pacific, whilst visiting destinations in Ecuador, Peru, Chile and French Polynesia along the way.
Ports of call to be visited in this region: Manta, Easter Island, Callao, Moorea, and Raiatea.
The cruise shall then continue with visits to additional island destinations in Polynesia and Melanesia, such as Tonga and New Caledonia, after which it will be arriving in Australia.
Later on, this 2000 guest ship will land, in late February, in Southeast Asia where it shall answer for port calls in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and more.
Journeying ahead, this ship will traverse the vast breadth of the Indian Ocean, while on the way back to the United States, hopping and stopping in places such as the Maldives, the Seychelles and Mauritius.
It will also visit Namibia, South Africa, Cape Verde, and the Canaries before entering the Mediterranean region, visting Spain, Italy, Portugal, Morocco, Malta, Egypt and the United Kingdom. After which the Zuiderdam will finally cross the Atlantic Ocean.
Once it arrives in the America Continent, after paying a visit to San Juan in Puerto Rico, it will return to Fort Lauderdale scheduled on May 9, 2025.
Along with the Zuiderdam Grand World Voyage, Holland America has already planned a second world cruise in 2025.
