Hurtigruten Expeditions (HX) has announced that it has renewed its broadcast sponsorship of the Sky Nature channel for 2024 following a successful collaboration in 2022, as stated in a press release.
The partnership, which was facilitated by Sky Media and brokered by The Media People, is intended to further promote HX’s commitment to conservation and protection in the regions it explores, according to the company.
Suzanne Hall, European marketing director at HX, noted that the partnership between HX and Sky Nature had already been very successful, reaching 20 percent of adults with their campaign and increasing to 23 percent among those over the age of 55, a key audience for the company. She highlighted the strong synergies between HX and Sky Nature regarding their sustainability goals and reiterated both parties’ dedication to protecting the natural world.
Hall further mentioned, “At HX, we continue to strive to lead the way when it comes to sustainability. We were the first cruise line to remove single-use plastic from operations, and our hybrid-battery ships are helping us to reduce carbon emissions. We’re looking forward to working again with Sky Nature this year and inspiring more people to engage with the natural world in a meaningful way.”
Karin Seymour, director of client and marketing at Sky Media, added that HX’s decision to renew the partnership reflects the continuing power of television to build brand recognition and reach premium audiences. She emphasized that the collaboration, combining Sky Nature’s world-class content with both companies’ commitment to sustainability, would help position the new HX brand and engage viewers who are passionate about the natural world.
