MSC Cruises Names Lucy Ellis as Chief Communications Officer

The company announced in a press release that Lucy Ellis will be the company’s Chief Communications Officer based out of its Geneva headquarters.

The company said she will replace Luca Biondolillo, who will leave at the end of August to pursue a new career opportunity.

A former MSC Cruises executive, Ellis will oversee internal and external communications as well as manage the company’s corporate reputation.

In addition to holding a SVP position at Weber Shandwick and an Associate Director position at H&K Strategies, the seasoned international communications professional has consulted with global companies like Unilever, Mondelez, and Nestlé for over 20 years.

MSC Cruises CEO Gianni Onorato said, “I am pleased to announce Lucy’s new appointment, as it signifies our commitment to investing in our people and enabling them to grow.” Due to Lucy’s extensive experience and knowledge of the business and industry, she was a natural fit for this position.
