Starting in November 2025, MSC Cruises is set to launch sailings from Galveston with the MSC Seascape, as revealed in a recent company statement. The cruise line has opened sales for its year-round, week-long voyages departing on Sundays. These trips will take passengers to Costa Maya and Cozumel in Mexico, as well as Isla de Roatan in Honduras. Guests can look forward to a range of shore excursions, including tours of ancient Mayan Ruins, shipwreck snorkeling adventures, and glass-bottom boat rides.
Gianni Onorato, the CEO of MSC Cruises, commented on this development, stating, “This announcement is the latest step in our strategy to continue to grow our U.S footprint. Earlier this year we began operations from our third U.S. home port, New York City, where we now sail year-round, and we are proud to add Galveston to that growing line-up alongside Port Miami and Port Canaveral.”
Onorato further emphasized MSC Cruises’ commitment to bringing their newest and most innovative ships to the U.S., highlighting the convenience MSC Seascape will offer to guests in the central and western U.S. through Galveston. He also noted the benefit for international guests, given Houston’s well-connected international airport hub.
