The MSC Euribia landed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in late November to begin its Middle Eastern winter season.
The MSC Cruises ship will be sailing in the region for the first time, offering a series of cruises departing from Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Guests will also be able to embark in Doha on seven-night cruises to Qatar, the UAE, and Bahrain.
In addition to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Doha, the MSC Euribia will make stops in Sir Bani Yas and Khalifa Bin Salman on its regular sailings in the region.
The mission will end in late March 2025, when the vessel will return to Northern Europe with no visitors on board.
Following a summer deployment in Scandinavia and the North Sea, the MSC Euribia returned to the Middle East in early November.
Due to security concerns in the Red Sea, the LNG-powered freighter traveled around Africa on its approach to Dubai.
As part of its repositioning cruise, the Euribia paid a technical visit to MSC’s Nelson Mandela Cruise Terminal in Durban, South Africa.
The vessel became the largest ever to visit South Africa, succeeding Royal Caribbean International’s Anthem of the Seas, which also made a technical call to the country.
The MSC Euribia, built by the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in France, will enter service for MSC Cruises in June 2023.
The 177,100-ton ship, the fifth in a series that began with the MSC Meraviglia in 2017, can accommodate over 4,800 people.
After completing its 2025 summer season in Europe, the vessel is scheduled to return to the Middle East in 2025-26.
The ship will sail from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Doha for its second deployment in the region, from early November 2025 to early April 2026.
