The port of Cadiz recently had the honor of welcoming MSC Euribia for the first time, marking a significant milestone as the ship became the first cruise vessel to be bunkered with liquefied natural gas (LNG) at the Spanish port, as highlighted in a press release.
To celebrate this inaugural visit, a traditional maritime plaque exchange ceremony was held onboard. MSC Euribia’s Captain Pietro Sinisi and Teófila Martínez, the President of the Port Authority of the Bay of Cadiz, participated in this commemorative event.
Prior to embarking on its 13-night journey to Hamburg, the MSC Euribia was refueled with LNG. The cruise includes stops at Lanzarote, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Casablanca, Funchal, Lisbon, and Southampton.
Launched in June 2023, the MSC Euribia is MSC Cruises‘ second LNG-powered ship and is recognized as one of the most energy-efficient vessels in the maritime industry.
