Port Saint John kicked off its 2024 cruise season on Wednesday, May 8, with the arrival of MSC Cruises’ Meraviglia.
This season, the port expects to welcome 76 ships to the Bay of Fundy, bringing over 240,000 passengers. The schedule also includes 10 inaugural calls and 12 overnight stays. Additionally, the port will have 13 days with two ships and seven days with three ships, particularly during the busy months of September and October.
“We’re particularly excited for the 14 calls taking place between now and August 31,” said Natalie Allaby, director of cruise excellence at Port Saint John. “Spring and Summer are such beautiful seasons in our region – they are our focus for continued cruise tourism growth in the future”
The MSC Meraviglia made its stop at Saint John as part of its eight-night Canada and New England voyage, which departed from New York on May 4.
