November 2023 will mark the opening of the first Saudi Arabian office of the Cruise Division of the MSC Group.
MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys will have offices in Jeddah to handle their commercial, sales, and marketing operations.
During the World Tourism Day conference in Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh, Pierfrancesco Vago, Executive Chairman of the Cruise Division of the MSC Group, announced the news.
In the Kingdom, MSC has been present since 1996, and our shipping business has grown exponentially, contributing to the local economy.
The cruise industry is growing in popularity in Saudi Arabia, and as such is playing an increasingly important role for us on the leisure side of things. Our physical presence within the Kingdom is crucial since more and more of the kingdom’s citizens and residents are becoming interested in the great proposition of cruising. Introducing our new branch of MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys local customers is something we are very much looking forward to.”
MSC Cruises will begin its third season of Red Sea sailings from Jeddah this November, including a new itinerary for the MSC Orchestra. During the six-month cruise, 20 separate seven-night voyages will be offered to Aqaba in Jordan for Petra, Sharm El Sheikh, Cairo via Sokhna Port, and Luxor via Safaga Port.
