A statement from MSC Cruises said its new liquefied natural gas ship, the MSC Euribia, has completed four days of sea trials in the Atlantic Ocean.
Engine performance, fuel consumption, safety systems, speed, and stopping distance were all checked during the trial.
In May, MSC Cruises will receive the ship, which has completed sea trials, from Chantiers de l’Atlantique’s shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France.
Before sailing from Kiel, Germany, MSC Euribia’s inaugural season in Northern Europe begins on June 8 with an official christening ceremony in Copenhagen, Denmark.
MSC Euribia will offer seven-night sailings from Kiel to Copenhagen, calling at Geiranger, Lesund, and Flam, shortly after her christening on June 10.
MSC Euribia will offer seven-night trips from Hamburg to Rotterdam, The Netherlands, Zeebrugge, Belgium, Le Havre, France, and Southampton in the UK during the winter of 2023-24.
