As part of its ongoing efforts to expand its onboard offerings, Norwegian Cruise Line announced that the Norwegian Joy will undergo extensive enhancements in drydock from Jan. 22 to Feb. 12. An expanded Vibe Beach Club, new staterooms, refreshed bedrooms, and a new Thermal Suite will be among the enhancements in the Mandara Spa and Salon.
On Feb. 12, 2024, the Norwegian Joy is expected to emerge from drydock after a three-week stay. Spa Thermal Suite features a centralized layout with elegant sculptures and an entrance corridor with waterfalls, according to the company. There will be a separate lounge area with many more hot tile loungers. A sauna, ice room, and aromatic steam room will be available for guests to enjoy.
Besides offering IV drip therapy and four-sense loungers, the Thermal Suite also offers Kneipp haptic foot therapy and a Biostation. As Norwegian Cruise Line’s president, David J. Herrera, said, “We are committed to delivering exceptional experiences across our fleet.” We listened to our guests and have taken action. To enhance the guest experience aboard Norwegian Joy, we’re adding some of the most beloved spaces and offerings across our ships. In addition to a greater variety of staterooms, guests can relax at the world-class, full-service spa.”
Additionally, Norwegian will upgrade the Haven by Norwegian Premier Owner’s Suites to three-bedroom accommodation by converting the Observation Lounge into 24 new balcony staterooms. A new luxurious cabana will also be added to the adults-only Vibe Beach Club. From Southampton to Miami, the Norwegian Joy will set sail on an 11-day transatlantic voyage on Feb. 13, 2024. For summer 2024, the ship will sail from New York to Bermuda for seven-day roundtrip Caribbean voyages starting in March 2024.
