Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), a leader in global cruise travel, has recently revealed its latest enhancements aboard the Norwegian Joy. These upgrades, completed during a three-week dry dock, feature a new Thermal Suite in the Mandara Spa and Salon, redesigned Three-Bedroom The Haven Premier Owner’s Suites, an enlarged Vibe Beach Club, and 24 additional balcony staterooms.
David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line, stated, “Our guests have asked for these enhancements to Norwegian Joy, and we delivered.”
Highlights of the refurbishments include the newly extended Thermal Suite at the Mandara Spa and Salon, now the most extensive in the Breakaway-Plus class, featuring new amenities like four senses loungers, a sauna, ice room, and steam room. The Haven by Norwegian® has seen an upgrade to its Premier Owner’s Suites, now offering three bedrooms and other luxurious amenities, providing more space for relaxation and enjoyment.
Additionally, the Vibe Beach Club has been expanded to align with the design of its counterparts on Norwegian Encore and Norwegian Bliss, including new private luxe cabanas for an exclusive adults-only retreat.
Norwegian Joy continues to offer a rich variety of experiences with 21 bars and lounges, 16 complimentary and specialty dining options, and a quarter-mile oceanfront promenade. The ship is packed with activities suitable for every traveler, including the Norwegian Joy Speedway, an Aqua Park, a mini-golf course, and top-tier entertainment like “Elements” and “Deal or No Deal®”.
Following the dry dock in Rotterdam, Netherlands, on February 11, 2024, Norwegian Joy commenced an 11-Day Transatlantic journey from Southampton, United Kingdom, to Miami. Presently, the ship is offering seven-day, round-trip Caribbean voyages from Miami, with plans to relocate to New York in summer 2024 for Bermuda cruises. Travelers can book these cruises under NCL’s Free at Sea program, which provides a selection of complimentary benefits such as unlimited open bar, specialty dining, Wi-Fi, and shore excursion credits, along with additional perks on select voyages.
