Oceania Cruises has expanded its Culinary Discovery Tours by introducing 12 new excursions for 2025, enhancing its commitment to immersive culinary experiences.
These new tours will be available in several destinations:
Europe: Amsterdam, Belfast, Invergordon, Valencia, and Valletta.
Asia: Kobe, Kochi, and Shimizu in Japan, and Busan in South Korea.
North America: Halifax, Quebec City, and Victoria.
The excursions will be offered aboard Oceania’s ships: Marina, Riviera, Vista, and the upcoming Allura, set to debut in July 2025.
Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer at Oceania Cruises, emphasized the company’s dedication to providing authentic culinary experiences. He stated, “Our guests seek more than just incredible cuisine; they crave authentic connections with food, culture, and people.”
Chef Kathryn Kelly, Director of Culinary Enrichment at Oceania Cruises, highlighted the significance of food in connecting people to places. She remarked, “Our fabulous Culinary Discovery Tours provide an insider’s look at local markets, artisans, and traditions, allowing guests to take a piece of the destination home with them.”
Notable new tour highlights include:
Kobe, Japan: A six-hour experience led by a chef, demonstrating the crafting and use of traditional Japanese kitchen knives.
Busan, South Korea: A four-hour market tour with a chef, offering opportunities to find ingredients and prepare traditional Korean dishes.
Belfast, Northern Ireland: A 4.5-hour tour with local Chef Paul Cunningham, focusing on locally sourced ingredients.
Halifax, Canada: A three-hour chef-led tour exploring the “chowder trail” and artisanal cider trends in Nova Scotia.
Invergordon, Scotland: A four-hour cooking class where guests shop for ingredients for Scottish chowder and prepare the meal onboard.
Valletta, Malta: A three-hour tour sampling artisanal Maltese cuisine and making traditional Maltese bread.
These tours are designed to provide guests with authentic culinary experiences, connecting them to the local culture and traditions of each destination.
