Princess Cruises has announced that it will increase the number of Diamond Princess itineraries that explore Japan during the 2025-26 season. Terry Thornton, the Chief Commercial Officer for Princess Cruises said, “We truly make it easy to travel to Japan and Southeast Asia on our Diamond Princess Love Boat to experience these amazing destinations.” He expressed excitement about extending their Japan cruises from Tokyo (Yokohama) during the fall foliage season and continuing to Singapore to showcase the best of Southeast Asia. He emphasized the convenience of having to unpack only once while enjoying regional culinary offerings, entertainment, and vibrant shore excursions onboard.
For the fall 2025 season, the line will introduce 11 new voyages ranging from nine to 22 days (about 3 weeks), visiting 25 destinations in Japan, with additional stops in Korea and Taiwan. The itinerary highlights include a 13-day Circle Japan Fall Foliage sailing that coincides with the autumn leaves season, a nine-day Circle Japan voyage that circumnavigates the country with stops at Nagasaki, Akita, and Sakaiminato, and a nine-day Southern Islands trip to the southernmost parts of Japan, including the lush islands of Okinawa and Ishigaki. Additionally, there is a 10-day Kyushu and Korea cruise covering these significant islands of Japan and including visits to Hiroshima, Osaka (for Kyoto), and Shimizu (for Mt. Fuji). Guests also have the option to combine these voyages into a 40-day adventure.
Following the extended Japan season, Diamond Princess will set off for Singapore on a 12-day Southeast Asia and Japan cruise, making calls in Taipei (Keelung) and Hong Kong, which will precede three roundtrip Singapore sailings. These include a 14-day Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam cruise with stops in Phuket, Kuala Lumpur (Port Kelang), and Ho Chi Minh City (Phu My); a 16-day voyage also visiting Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a gateway to Hanoi; and a 14-day Southeast Asia and Japan sailing from Singapore back to Tokyo (Yokohama) with visits to both Hong Kong and Shimizu (for Mt. Fuji).
