On the company’s second quarter earnings call, Chief Executive Officer Jason Liberty said that the company had had another outstanding quarter with increased booking volumes from North American customers and the North American consumer remains extremely strong.
Combined with the value proposition of a cruise, Liberty attributes the brand’s strong performance in the second quarter.
Adding to this performance, he says Caribbean sailings played a significant role.
Approximately 55 percent of our full year capacity is booked on Caribbean itineraries, and 37 percent in the third quarter. One of the key reasons for the increase in expectations for the full year is the strong demand for Caribbean itineraries,” said he.
Among the factors driving the positive performance in the second quarter was the strong demand for Caribbean itineraries, according to Naftali Holtz, Chief Financial Officer.
