Seabourn has announced the introduction of a “Connoisseur Collection” of epicurean and reserve wine experiences, which will be available on most of its cruises and expeditions for the 2025-26 seasons. The collection will offer guests a range of experiences including premium whiskey and wine tastings, along with a “dinner under the stars” featuring curated meals accompanied by premium wines.
The onboard bar manager will lead two distinct whiskey tastings, featuring select whiskies from Scotland, Japan, and the United States, as well as a specialized Macallan tasting. Seabourn mentioned that the bar manager will provide detailed explanations about the origins and flavors of each whiskey, and palate cleansers like breadsticks and cheeses will be offered to enhance the tasting experience.
Guests will also have the opportunity to partake in a global wine tasting event, where they can sample 10 distinct reserve wines sourced from five different countries, with each country presenting two varietals. The sommelier will assist guests in understanding the subtle differences between each wine.
Additionally, a “sommelier lunch” will feature a five-course meal, each paired with a different premium reserve wine.
On select voyages, an open-air dining experience will be available, where guests can enjoy dinner along with fine champagnes and wines under the stars.
Seabourn has stated that the “Connoisseur Collection” experiences will require an additional fee and guests can make reservations on select days during their voyages.
