Silver Cloud welcomes Cruise Saudi Arabia

A Silversea cruise ship named Silver Cloud visited Jeddah Islamic Port and Yanbu Commercial Port during its inaugural visit to Saudi Arabia.

As per tradition, plaque and critical exchange ceremonies were held at both ports as the Silver Cloud called at Jeddah Islamic Port on May 2 for five days before heading north to Yanbu Commercial Port on May 7.

Despite the challenge of connecting Jeddah Islamic Port with Yanbu Commercial Port, Cruise Saudi’s CEO Lars Clasen said, “We are very pleased and honored to welcome Silver Cloud into our ports. Ii is another milestone in our development as we open our ports and Saudi Arabia to increasing numbers of ships and passengers.”. As part of Vision 2030’s strategy to grow Saudi as a tourism destination supporting social and economic growth, Cruise Saudi is proud to contribute to this effort. To position Saudi as one of the world’s premier cruising destinations by 2035, the company intends to welcome 1.3 million cruise passengers.
