After announcing MSC Bellissima’s operation in China in 2018, MSC Cruises announced that the MSC Splendida will join the fleet in 2024.
According to a press release, MSC Cruises will be the only international cruise line to deploy two ships in China in 2024.
Additionally, MSC Cruises will operate itineraries on the MSC Bellissima from Shenzhen and Shanghai between April and September 2024.
During the announcement of the MSC Bellissima’s first spring 2024 itineraries, Helen Huang, president of MSC Cruises China, said: “The number of direct sales bookings on the first day of the announcement hit the highest number in the company’s history, with the largest share of revenue coming from family cabins and MSC Yacht Club suites.”
As a result of the rapid recovery in the Chinese cruise industry as well as an appetite for premium voyages, we decided in 2024 to deploy two modern vessels featuring our ‘ship within a ship concept’ – MSC Yacht Club – in the country.
During her debut in Shenzhen on June 29, MSC Bellissima will sail eight voyages visiting Hong Kong, Okinawa, Yaeyama Islands and Miyako Island.
Eight sailings from Shanghai to Japan will take place between July 31 and September 6, including stops in Fukuoka, Kagoshima, Osaka, Okinawa, and Shimonoseki.
Winter 2024 itineraries for the MSC Splendida from Shenzhen are currently being finalized.
