Viking has announced an exciting expansion of its fleet and offerings for 2024 and beyond, as revealed in a recent press release.
The company is launching the “Iconic Iceland, Greenland & Canada” journey next year. This 15-day adventure is designed to showcase stunning natural vistas and volcanic landscapes, immersing guests in the beauty of these regions. It also provides insights into the history of Viking exploration and features captivating ports of call.
Another addition is the “Malta, Morocco & the Mediterranean” itinerary, set to debut in late 2024. Departing from Barcelona, this 16-day cruise covers seven countries, including visits to UNESCO World Heritage Sites, North African cities, the renowned Alhambra palace, and other picturesque locations.
In 2025, Viking will introduce the extensive 32-day “Grand Australia Circumnavigation” itinerary and a global voyage traversing 37 countries across six continents.
Viking Expeditions is also expanding its offerings in 2025, with new versions of its Longitudinal World Cruises and an inaugural venture into the Arctic. Beginning in July 2025, the Viking Octantis will embark on three new itineraries ranging from 13 to 27 days, exploring the Polar North, Canada, and Greenland.
Additionally, Viking has unveiled a series of new Antarctic itineraries for the 2025 season, including the remarkable 87-day journey “From the Arctic to Antarctica,” sailing from Nuuk, Greenland, to Ushuaia, Argentina.
The company is also excited about the debut of a new ocean vessel, the Viking Vela, next year. This ship, accommodating 930 guests and currently under construction in Italy, joins nine sister ships in Viking’s fleet. Its inaugural season in late 2024 will feature winter cruises across the Mediterranean and Northern Europe.
Furthermore, Viking is enhancing its river cruise fleet with the introduction of Viking Tonle, Viking Hathor, Viking Sobek, and a new Viking Longship on the Seine River, all set to launch by 2025.
