Virgin Voyages has disclosed that its cruise ship, the Brilliant Lady, will explore Alaskan waters for the first time in summer 2026. According to a recent press release, the ship will set sail on a series of exciting voyages between May and September. Passengers can choose from 17 trips that will visit 12 different destinations across Alaska.
Tickets for these adventures will be available for presale on Thursday, November 2, while general sales will start on November 13.
Travelers on the Brilliant Lady will get the opportunity to experience Alaska’s wildlife and breathtaking scenery. Guests may catch sight of bald eagles, seals, or even humpback whales during their journey. The cruise also offers various activities such as salmon fishing, hiking across glaciers, enjoying lively lumberjack shows, and experiencing dog sledding, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Virgin Voyages’ CEO, Nirmal Saverimuttu, shared that many of their loyal customers are eager for new travel experiences with Virgin. He noted the success of their earlier “Front(ier) of the Line” passes, which highlighted how much passengers love the Alaskan itineraries. “With the Brilliant Lady, we’re giving our guests another chance to sail to one of the most stunning destinations in the world, while enjoying the unique Virgin touch with artists, chefs, and musicians on board,” Saverimuttu said.
The Brilliant Lady will offer cruise lengths ranging from seven to 12 nights, departing from both Seattle and Vancouver. The ship’s first journey, called the “MerMaiden Voyage,” will run from May 21-28. It will start in Seattle and make stops in Ketchikan, located in the Tongass National Forest, as well as Sitka, Tracy Arm Fjord, and Prince Rupert in British Columbia before returning to Seattle.
After finishing its Alaskan season in September, the Brilliant Lady will head to New York before launching cruises from Miami, Los Angeles, and Seattle. These routes will include a 16-night Panama Canal journey and a new seven-night trip from Los Angeles, with stops in Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlán, and Puerto Vallarta.
These new itineraries offer a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and Virgin Voyages’ signature style, promising an unforgettable experience for travelers.
