According to a press statement, Virgin Voyages is enjoying record sales and income growth, with Black Friday serving as the company’s busiest booking day ever.
The company’s revenue and bookings increased by 300 percent compared to 2023. Overall revenue has increased by more than 60%, with a forecast 50% increase in 2025.
“We are grateful for the support we are receiving from our dedicated clients and the travel advisor community, as well as their enthusiasm for the award-winning, kid-free experiences we have created and built from the ground up together. Breaking records would not have been possible without our First Mates, and we are as dedicated to them as they are to us,” stated Nirmal Saverimuttu, CEO of Virgin Voyages.
“In an environment where value is disappearing and travelers are feeling the pinch of others’ changes, we are doubling down on providing incredible value for Sailors with all of our inclusions, such as Wi-Fi, soft drinks, still and sparkling water, unlimited fitness classes, no upcharges for specialty dining, and more. We are devoted to staying true to our beginnings and not nickel-and-diming our sailors before, during, or after their journey with us.”
In addition to record bookings for Mediterranean and Caribbean sailings, the company has witnessed high demand for its new Alaska itineraries, lengthier voyages to Iceland, and solar eclipse cruises in 2026. The company’s new annual pass, which includes a year-long voyage and unlimited ship access, is expected to sell out by year’s end.
Virgin Voyages plans to debut its new ship, the Brilliant Lady, in 2025, while the Scarlet Lady has recently returned from dry dock.
The company is introducing lengthier itineraries and new homeports in New York, Los Angeles, and Seattle.
Saverimuttu also stated that the brand continues to have strong repeat cruisers, up to 60% on some sailings, while noting that more than 70% of Black Friday and Cyber Monday bookings came from new consumers, including many first-time cruisers.
“This further solidifies our place as the brand of choice for travelers looking for a fresh, price-inclusive travel experience,” Saverimuttu reported.
