Kids and Teens Activities on Carnival Liberty Cruise Ship

Book Carnival Liberty Cruise

Explore All Activities for Kids and Teens on Carnival Liberty

Whether your children are highly motivated fun seekers who enjoy filling every moment with a new challenge or stimulating event, or dreamier types who simply want to soak in the scenery, breathe in the fresh air, and linger over a book or drawing, they will not be bored on the Carnival Liberty. There are plenty of activities for family time, and when it comes time to go your separate ways, we've got you covered.

1. See the World

Carnival cruises offer opportunities to broaden one's horizons, particularly for teenagers. Cruising offers fresh encounters through a new lens. That's why we arrange See The World, particularly authentic festivities that introduce teen cruisers to festivals and traditions from around the world. Actual events will vary by ship and age group, but you can celebrate India's Holi Festival with authentic craft activities, rickshaw races, and a Bollywood-style dance lesson, to name a few! Traditional aspects of the Japanese Cherry Blossom Celebration include an anime art class, a tea ceremony, origami lessons, and a Zen musical soundscape. But that's not all. Celebrate the Philippines' Panagbenga Festival with a flower parade, traditional jewelry-making activities, a Tagalog language scavenger hunt, and more. The See The World program demonstrates that enriching enjoyment can happen on vacation!

2. Camp Ocean

The kids may experience the greatest aspects of summer camp all year on their Carnival cruise. At Camp Ocean, kids will have a great time in age-appropriate groups and be assigned a cool marine-life label: Penguins (2 to 5 years), Stingrays (6 to 8 years), and Sharks (9 to 11 years). They will participate in a variety of age-appropriate activities, including arts & crafts, singing, games, toys, dancing, movies, and video games. When it's mealtime, the kids eat together and have their menus with favorites like mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, and more. Experienced counselors will be present throughout to ensure that everyone in these small groups has a great day. Plus, when the sun goes down, it's Night Owls time—fees apply, but youngsters may remain up late and have fun as their parents enjoy themselves long into the night.

3. Seuss at Sea

Cats in Hats, Fish Red and Blue, and both sorts of Things — 1 and 2 — all come from Dr. Seuss®' colorful and always lovely universe. Seuss at Sea™ brings the world of Dr. Seuss to life on a Carnival ship near you. Dr. Seuss' timeless stories are the kind that children remember, and this is the kind of trip you'll never forget. The entire family will enjoy all of the traditional Carnival activities, but the youngest guests and their families will have an extra special experience as the fanciful world of Dr. Seuss comes to life around them. Enjoy a special onboard character parade, interactive storytime, arts and crafts activities, a character brunch with their favorite Dr. Seuss characters, and more. Seuss at Sea brings your children's favorite books to life.

4. Space Cruisers

Explore beyond the seas with Carnival's Space Cruisers. Space Cruisers™ is a unique holiday experience at Camp Ocean that brings children ages 2-11 to the wonders of space exploration. It is being done in collaboration with the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex so that aspiring astronomy enthusiasts can enjoy the authenticity of NASA-inspired activities that will help them blast off to a love of the universe. Activities at Camp Ocean vary by age group and sailing, but some examples include building and racing Mars Rovers, creating and testing bridge physics, playing space-themed bingo, and learning about how objects circle in space. Completing "missions" will even win you an exclusive mission patch! 3, 2, 1… FUN!

5. Club O2

Your parents deserve a vacation, but so do you. So let them do their thing and you do yours. Where are we going? Club O2®. Join fellow high schoolers aged 15-17 for activities such as watching movies, listening to music from this decade, playing sports and video games, participating in karaoke jam sessions, and attending Carnival's prom.

6. Circle "C"

What does the letter C in Circle "C®" stand for? How about "cruise," "chill," and "connect"? (To mention a few, of course.) It's the aboard hangout for teens aged 12 to 14, where they can hang out, make new friends, and participate in some exciting activities. Like, what? Dance parties, games, outdoor movies, and other activities are planned for the private Circle "C" area as well as across the ship. These are all overseen by pleasant and fun-loving counselors who ensure teens enjoy the best vacation possible.

7. Zumbini

Cruises are enjoyable but may not be suitable for children. Carnival Cruises provides Zumbini®, a fitness program developed by Zumba® and BabyFirst™, to keep children active and developing during their holiday. On every sailing trip, children aged 2 to 5 will have a free 30-minute Zumbini session that combines the same musical enjoyment that families enjoy on land. Zumbini songs, exercises, unique instruments, and other elements are used in the class to encourage movement. On sailings lasting six days or more, offer a Family Zumbini session where parents and children can participate in guided activities aimed at strengthening parent-child bonds. And, of course, fun!

8. Big Fun for Infants & Toddlers

Their first few years are quite special. Wouldn't it be wonderful to make a Carnival cruise one of their first experiences? Even children under two can enjoy a cruise with unique activities tailored to their age. These are one-of-a-kind, enriching experiences that are also entertaining since they are for older children. But for this lot — call the young ones "Turtles®" — there are arts and crafts, dancing, educational activities, a storytime with Dr. Seuss® classics, Zumbini®, sensory play, and more, all hosted by experienced childcare experts and always appropriate for their age.

9. Night Owls

Consider your childhood: was there anything better than being able to stay up late? Even as an adult, nighttime is enjoyable, especially with the variety of activities available on your Carnival cruise. "Night Owls™" is the ideal solution for both you and your children! For a small price, children aged 11 and under can have fun with their peers until as late as 1 a.m. Supervised parties include music, activities, games, and giveaways, allowing you to relax and enjoy your evening activities without fear.

10. Seuss-a-palooza Story Time

Seuss-a-palooza™ Story Time offers an unforgettable experience with Dr. Seuss® books. Watch your favorite stories come to life in a setting as unique as the Dr. Seuss classics. At Seuss-a-palooza Story Time, audience members can interact with the story and even become characters themselves. Also, keep a watch out for unexpected, beautifully costumed guests who may make a special appearance.

11. Pools

Pool Day! Whether you want to take a dip, splash around, swim, or simply relax poolside, your Carnival cruise has the pool for you. Pools are so crucial to a nice voyage that many ships include two of them. Aft pools provide a wind as well as a sea view of the ship's wake, whereas midship pools provide a different type of great vista: the huge screen is right there for viewing. And, regardless of where you find yourself, the sunbeams are yours to soak in.

12. Seuss-A-Palooza Parade

Celebrate the Seuss-a-palooza™ Parade, which is currently taking place on certain Carnival ships. Join your favorite characters — and a slew of other interesting followers — in a boisterous procession of the biggest (and smallest) admirers on this side of the coast. This parade promotes fun, so spread the word during your Carnival cruise.

13. Twister Waterslide

Above the ship, you'll see the brilliant sun, but there's more: basking in its beams is a gleaming symbol of fun, a monument to joy... a harbinger of splashy-good times ahead. If you spot the Twister Waterslide™ on your Carnival cruise, you can expect a thrilling holiday full of twists, turns, and squeals. Countless gallons of water rush through the entire length of this slide, so you're far from dry when you begin, but by the time you reach the end — hundreds of feet later — you've reached new levels of soaking, splashing down in that classic waterslide photo finish: hands-up, eyes wide, and nothing but exhilaration on your face.

14. Basketball

You may believe that basketball is all about the hoop and getting the ball in, but you've never played aboard a Carnival® ship. It's all about the journey to the hoop, the vista, and the sea wind you breathe in as you drive past defenders to drop the pebble into the bucket. That reminds me of cruising – the destinations may be amazing, but the journey is what matters. (Be cautioned, however, that in court, as weird as it may appear, traveling is still deemed a foul.)

15. Arts and Crafts

For children, arts and crafts are a pleasant way to spend an afternoon. Camp Ocean® provides lots of creative chances for aspiring Picassos to expert Monets, and children may express themselves through a variety of crafts ranging from painting to jewelry-making. You know, future living room museum artifacts.
