Dietary Requests
Disney Cruise Line offers different types of dietary accommodations for guests, catering to specific health and lifestyle needs.
- Menu Options: You can enjoy various meal options, including gluten-free, vegetarian, dairy-free, no-sugar-added, and lighter choices across the dining locations on board. These dietary options are offered in the main dining rooms, but you may need to alert staff about preferences ahead of time.
- Special Requests: Guests with specific cultural or religious dietary needs can request meals such as halal or kosher by using the "Special Services" section during the booking process. Requests must be submitted well in advance, typically 5 weeks before sailing or even 10 weeks for kosher meals for Passover.
- Food Allergy Services: Disney Cruise Line takes food allergies seriously, with special protocols for severe or life-threatening allergies (e.g., peanuts, shellfish, gluten). It's recommended that you fill out dietary preference forms at the time of booking, but it’s also essential to notify the dining team on board.
- Timing for Requests: It’s best to submit general dietary requests 3 days before embarkation. Kosher meals require more time, so plan.
Alcoholic Beverages
Disney Cruise Line allows adult guests to bring a limited amount of alcohol onboard.
- General Policy: Guests over the age of 21 can take up to 2 bottles of unopened wine or champagne (750 ml or smaller) or 6 beers (12 oz each). Alcohol must be carried in carry-on luggage, not checked baggage.
- Corking Fee: If you wish to consume your wine or champagne in dining rooms, a corkage fee of $27 will apply.
- Port-Specific Guidelines: On voyages from Australia and New Zealand, the minimum drinking age is 18, with similar limits on alcohol brought onboard.
- Consumption Restrictions: Alcohol brought onboard cannot be consumed in lounges or public areas, and the cruise line will store excessive alcohol until the end of the trip.
Smoking Areas
To maintain a relaxing environment for all guests, smoking is restricted to designated areas.
- Designated Areas: Smoking is allowed on Deck 14 (both forward and aft) and on Deck 4, port side, but only during specific hours (Deck 4 is limited to 6 PM to 6 AM).
- Electronic Cigarettes: These are subject to the same regulations as traditional smoking and can only be used in designated areas.
Prohibited and Restricted Items
Disney Cruise Line enforces strict policies on restricted items to ensure guest safety and comfort.
- Weapons and Ammunition: Weapons, including toy guns or replicas, are not permitted.
- Marijuana and Illicit Drugs: Possession is prohibited, regardless of the laws in your home country.
- Appliances and Electronics: Small personal items like hair dryers and shavers are allowed, but large appliances (irons, coffee makers) are not.
- Food and Drinks: Pre-packaged snacks for dietary needs or infants are allowed, but homemade food or ice chests for personal use are not.
Disney Cruise Line Contract
Guests are required to sign the Disney Cruise Line contract detailing rights and responsibilities.
- Signing Process: Guests complete the contract during online check-in, which should be printed out for boarding.
- Incomplete Check-In: If not completed online, the contract will be provided in the cruise ticket packet.

Disney's loyalty program, Castaway Club, provides several booking advantages.

- Exclusive Pre-booking: Guests staying in the same stateroom can pre-book activities based on the highest Castaway Club member level in their group.
Disney Destiny Packing List and Dress Code
Packing for a Disney Cruise requires preparation for both adventure and formal dining.
- Day Bag Essentials: Passport, sunscreen, medication, camera, and a swimsuit are recommended for embarkation day.
- Dining Attire: Dress codes vary—main dining areas are casual (avoid swimwear and tank tops), while adult dining locations may require semi-formal attire.
