Disney Magic is a cruise ship owned by Disney Cruise Line, part of The Walt Disney Company. It was the first ship in the fleet, followed by Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Wish, and Disney Treasure. The ship has 11 decks for guests, 875 rooms, and can hold 2,700 passengers, with about 950 crew members. Its interior is designed in an Art Deco style. The ship has 20 bright yellow lifeboats, and its black, red, and white colors match Mickey Mouse. Disney had to get special permission to use yellow instead of the usual orange for lifeboats. Like other Disney cruise ships, its horn plays a part in When You Wish Upon a Star. The ship's "godmother" is Patricia Disney, the former wife of Roy E. Disney, Walt Disney's nephew.

Disney Magic's cabins are designed for family comfort, offering both practicality and style. They provide a peaceful retreat from the busy public areas, with ample storage space, including wide closets, extra shelving, and elevated beds that keep suitcases out of sight. Families, especially those with young children, will appreciate the convenience of the split-bath layout in every stateroom, featuring a separate room with a toilet and sink, and another with a shower-tub combo and a second sink. Both bathrooms also offer convenient shelving below the vanity for added storage. Additionally, the wheelchair-accessible cabins on Disney Magic are spacious and come in inside, ocean-view, balcony, and suite categories, ensuring comfort for all guests.
Entertainment on Disney Magic includes Broadway-style shows with Disney characters at the Walt Disney Theater, movies at the Buena Vista Theater, nightclubs, lounges, pools, and Disney-themed events like the Sail-Away Celebration, Pirate Night, and sometimes a Marvel or Star Wars Day at Sea. The ship's forward funnel features a 24-by-14-foot LED screen called Funnel Vision, where guests can watch movies and shows from the deck or Goofy’s Pool. Shows at the Walt Disney Theater may include All Aboard, Let the Magic Begin, Twice Charmed: A Twist on the Cinderella Story, tangled: The Musical, Disney Dreams: An Enchanted Classic, and A Final Farewell Show, while past productions included Villains Tonight! which was later replaced by Tangled.
Disney created a special dining system that adds variety to each meal. While traditional set-seating dining is an option, many guests prefer flexibility, sometimes choosing room service or a casual buffet instead. Disney Cruise Line introduced rotational dining, where guests and their servers move between three themed restaurants during the cruise. On Disney Magic, these include Lumiere’s, which serves mostly French cuisine, Rapunzel’s Royal Table with German-inspired dishes, and Animator’s Palate, which is also on three other Disney ships. For a more upscale experience, Palo, an adults-only restaurant at the back of the ship, offers high-end Italian cuisine and requires a separate reservation.
